Project Overview
At Masonite, I led the creative development for the launch of the Defendr™ Attack-Resistant Door — a high-security interior door designed to provide extra protection in schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces. My goal was to highlight the door’s advanced safety features while presenting it in a clean, modern design context.
Goals
● Introduce the new product to architects, builders, and facility managers.
● Visually communicate the door’s safety and design benefits in a simple, engaging way.
● Equip the sales and marketing teams with clear, professional materials and visual tools.
What I Did
Creative Direction & Design
● Developed the overall look and feel for the campaign — blending technical information with attractive, modern visuals.
● Designed brochures, sell sheets, web banners, and trade show graphics to support the launch.
Photography & Real-World Context
● Directed and produced photoshoots showing the door installed in real spaces like classrooms and offices.
● Art Direct and prepared all images for use across print, digital, and event displays.
3D Animation Video & 3D Environment
● Created a realistic 3D environment to show the door in a virtual building context.
● Produced a 3D animation video demonstrating how the attack-resistant technology works, with clear motion graphics to explain the benefits.
● Integrated the animation into the sales presentations and website for an engaging, easy-to-understand product showcase.
Vendor & Production Management
● Oversaw file preparation and proofing for all print materials and large-format trade show signage.
● Coordinated with animation vendors and video editors to ensure the final 3D visuals met our quality standards.
Collaboration
● Worked closely with engineers to ensure all technical features were communicated accurately.
● Supported the sales team by providing them with presentation slides, videos, and printed materials that were easy to share with clients.
Results
● Launched a complete set of visuals and marketing tools that clearly explained the door’s safety features and stylish design.
● The 3D animation and virtual environment gave stakeholders a realistic view of how the door performs in real conditions.
● Boosted sales team confidence by giving them professional materials for pitches, trade shows, and client meetings.
● Helped strengthen Masonite’s reputation as an innovative leader in secure building solutions.
Key Takeaway
This project demonstrates my ability to lead a product launch from concept through execution — combining strong design, high-quality photography, engaging 3D animation, and precise production management to tell a clear, compelling story.
